The first immigration to North America from Wales was in the early 12th Century of a group led by the explorer Madoc to escape the invading Normans. They landed along the Alabama coast and worked their way up here into Tennessee, where I live. I have explorered several of the places they performed their iron mining operations and have confirmed their existence to my satisfaction. The local Native Indians (Cherokee) have an oral history teaching about expelling the white skinned, large blue eyed "indians". Maybe we should start a new thread on this topic?
