I have heard of a mention of Lloegria in an old Welsh book? I was under the impression that Leicester was connected with Llyr as in the Welsh for the city Caer Llyr, and then Llyr-cester? Bro Sais means 'Country of the Englishman' in modern Welsh. I don't take any offence at the term Wales/Welsh ('Wealas' foreigner) Saesneg for English is just as much a misnomer as Wealas is, The language was never called Saxon in King Alfred's time it was always 'Englisc'?
