Bob, I shall be glad to share what I have. However, I wonder if you could clarify your statement about a "third verse". I have a book of Welsh hymns with translations. This particular hymn has only two verses and there is a statement at the end saying that the Welsh hymn has only two verses. The one you have posted is the second. Perhaps you could post in its entirety what you have? Meanwhile, below is the translation of the verse that you posted as taken from my book. Hazel 2. From Salem's hills yonder in glory Our course through the desert we'll view, Our winding and wavering journey, How sweet, to survey it anew; To look on the storms once encountered, And torrents of death and the grave, While we shall be free from their power Reposing in love's blissful wave.
By the way, there is also another English version called "English hymn" by H. Elvet Lewis (Elfed). My Welsh is week but it does not seem to be even close to the Welsh. Perhaps someone better informed can enlighten us. Hazel
