Subject: "Parvaim"
In the Book of 2nd Chronicles, Chapter 3, verse 6, in the Bible, one will find that King Solomon decorated his Jerusalem Temple with pure gold from Parvaim, around 1,000 years before Christ. This is the only appearance of such a word in the Bible. I have found one translation of "Parvaim" into "Land of Gold". It seems that this word is Hebrew for
"Hither World" (World Just Across the Sea?). Experts say, when commenting on this verse, that this word refers to Ophir ("fruitful region") which I have found out to be a port and trading town in the north of today's Amazon area at that time.I have then taken Parvaim for the continent just across the sea and Ophir for the exporting port town. All we know through the Bible is that Solomon's sea vessels came back every THREE years. Most articles on Ophir seem to divert it to other regions such as Arabia, Yemen (Africa) or Australia, thus neglecting a wealth of Ophir information from South American natives who seem to be descendants from Noah, Sem, Heber and Yoctan (Genesis 10:29). Does anyone happen to have further information or ancient maps regarding this particular word "Parvaim"?
