Mind

The Mind area was one of the most inspiring and would have been a credit to any of the major museums. At the entrance we are greeted by the robot zoo, where the zookeeper explains the robots' claims to artificial intelligence, based on simple decision-making. As we move up within the building, we explore the nature of the senses, through images created on heat-sensing cameras. Then we reach one of the most exciting exhibits: the Neural Net Creature, which is like a large starfish, reacting and adapting as you touch the space onto which it is projected. Another fascinating display shows a 3D mapping of the Internet. My favourite part of this area is at the very top, where you can have your face scanned and put through various types of morphing technique. If you happen to be there with someone of the opposite sex, I would advise the gender change. It's quite fascinating to see which features are dominant.
