Learning

Trees of KnowledgeOn entering the Learning Zone, we were confronted with the typical school scene, but enlarged to make us feel like small children again. There were over-sized chairs and vast lockers all around. After a few minutes the bell rang and we were ushered into the lecture theatre, where we were shown a film extolling the virtues of education throughout life. With the usual seed and tree imagery, this was rather trite. From there, we moved through to another room where there were many different displays, sadly only around half of them working. The exterior of the Learning Zone is one of the most impressive features of the Dome, with huge panels showing many of the most popular books of modern times. Disappointingly the interior does not live up to this grand introduction.
