The Theatre Royal on Drury Lane, built in 1663, has a rich 300 year history that includes fire, bankruptcy and murder. It is the place where King Charles II first set eyes on Nell Gwynn and where another famous Royal mistress, Lillie Langtry, starred in a 1911 production of 'Sins of Society.'
